Place Value Mat (Freebie)
Looking for a math-board for place value? This resource can be used to review on the SMARTboard, print it out to have students put in their interactive notebooks, or use as math boards! It is a great warm up and wrap up exercise to include in your daily activities with place value. A couple activities you can implement are:
1. Write a form of any number anywhere in the boxes and having students fill the other boxes out. For instance, I may write " fourteen" in the written form and as part of our shared demonstration, I will call on students (equity sticks) to come to the SMARTboard and write the other forms of the number fourteen in their respective boxes.
2. Pair students in groups of twos and have them take turns writing number forms in their respective boxes.
I recommend printing the mats on cardstock and laminating for durability.
